2009 Molalla Buckeroo Rodeo Court Tryouts

The Molalla Buckeroo Rodeo Court, consisting of a Queen and one Princess, represents the Molalla Buckeroo Rodeo throughout the Northwest, appearing in parades, rodeos, luncheons, and other promotional activities. All applications must be between the ages of 18 and 24, unmarried, with no children. Applicants must be willing to abide by the Court rules, live within a 75 mile radius of Molalla, be available to participate in court activities throughout the year, and be responsible for their own horse and transportation.

If you are interested in being a contestant of the 2009 court, please send the following to Connie Lee Johnson, c/o Molalla Buckeroo Association, PO Box 601, Molalla, OR 97038:

·         Application

·         Resume (to include: school activities, employment, prior equestrian/rodeo/court experience, special honors, etc.)

·         Statement of why you want to be a member of the 2009 rodeo court (50 words or less)

·         5X7 photo (head shot, western attire, including hat, color photocopy is acceptable)

Application deadline is September 30, 2008. Horsemanship pattern, speech requirements, court rules, and pageant schedule will be mailed upon receipt.

Try-outs for the 2009 Court will be held October 11, 2008. Try-outs will include horsemanship, speech, impromptu questions, written rodeo knowledge test, personal interview, and presentation run at the rodeos.

Formal Coronation will be announced. Court reign will be January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009
